Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two women at University Ave and 86th St in Lubbock, TX on January 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:45 p.m. Investigators are saying a Ford Focus was northbound on University Ave proper to attempting a westbound turn into a business parking lot. Reports allege the vehicle failed to yield and in the process of the turn, collided with a southbound Dodge Ram. Police say the Dodge operator was uninjured while a 23-year-old passenger in the Ford was seriously injured. The driver of the Ford, police say, only identified as a 25-year-old Lubbock woman, had injuries considered to be non-life-threatening in nature. Additional information was not available.
