Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at FM 70 and FM 624 in Corpus Christi, TX on November 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11 p.m. According to investigators, an SUV allegedly ran a stop sign before colliding with the side of a crane at the intersection. The collision is said to have caused the SUV to catch fire, leaving the 19-year-old passenger trapped in the vehicle. That person, identified as Ty Presley, died at the scene, reports say. The crane operator, 48-year-old Michael Perez, was hospitalized with injuries he also died from. The 18-year-0ld driver was hospitalized in critical condition, reports say.
