What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 87 in Canyon, TX on June 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Mazda CX-5 was headed southbound on US 87 when it struck the side of a barrier near the roadway. It then traveled across the roadway into a boulder before going airborne, striking an entrance sign. The vehicle vehicle then flipped, landing on its roof and leaving the driver with fatal injuries. The driver was identified as 22-year-old Tyler Rosales.
