Police have information on a single-vehicle crash that left a passenger injured at State Hwy 6 in McLennan County, TX on June 19th, 2023. Authorities believe it happened around 2:20 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Taurus operated by a 28-year-old Marlin man was headed southeast before leaving its lane of travel. They say the vehicle first traveled onto an improved shoulder before traveling into the nearby grassy shoulder. From there, they believe the vehicle struck a concrete culvert, casing it to toll down into the culvert. 35-year-old passenger, Vanessa Mendez, suffered suspected serious injuries while the Marlin man was less seriously injured. Police allege the man displayed signs of possible intoxication and had no additional information to share.
