What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 48 in Brownsville, TX on April 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:27 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 40-year-old Mexico man was traveling westbound behind at Chevrolet Camaro operated by 46-year-old Veronica Fuentes Gomez, when the truck collided with the rear of the Camaro. The Camaro was pushed into another vehicle which fled the scene. Gomez suffered minor injuries in the crash. The Mexico man was not injured and issued a Failure to Control Speed.
