What Happened

Alamo Police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at East Expressway in Alamo, TX on August 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcyclist is said to have fallen from his motorcycle after either attempting to avoid a dog in the roadway or possibly striking the dog. The cyclist, identified as 29-year-old Vicente Ortiz Jr, fell from the bike and was struck by a vehicle. Ortiz suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The driver involved stopped to render aid and does not face criminal charges at this time.
