What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 271 in Camp County, TX on June 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:03 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Tahoe C1500 was is alleged to have proceeded into the intersection with County RD 4114 ahead of an approaching tractor-trailer. Reports say the tractor-trailer collided with the driver side of the Chevrolet, causing it to veer from the road and overturn into a barrow ditch. Police say the driver, identified as 46-year-old Victor Butler, was fatally injured. Additional information was not available.
