What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least one person at US 59 in Victoria County, TX on July 9th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:36 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Pathfinder is alleged to have turned left when unsafe to do so, entering into the path pf an approaching Chevrolet Silverado. Reports say the vehicles collided, the crash leaving 31-year-old Silverado operator, Victor Pena, seriously injured. There were no other reported injuries and sources indicate a Change Lanes When Unsafe charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Nissan.
