Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at President George Bush Turnpike in Plano, TX on December 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:54 a.m. A GMC Sierra operated by 30-year-old Victor Vega Juarez was headed westbound on the turnpike when it veered into a shoulder and struck a guardrail. It then continued before going over the guardrail and crashing into a concrete bridge pillar. Juarez suffered fatal injuries while a 23-year-old passenger was seriously injured. Officers say two open alcoholic beverages were located inside the vehicle and suspect alcohol involvement in the crash.
