What Happened

Eagle Pass Police are investigating a collision that killed one person involved at US Hwy 277 in Eagle Pass, TX on February 8th, 2025. Police are saying a a Chevrolet pickup was traveling south when it collided with a Chevrolet Colorado that was stopped for traffic. The impact caused the Colorado to be pushed into a Dodge Ram 2500 ahead.

The crash resulted in a fatal injury to the 59-year-old driver of the  Chevrolet pickup, identified as Jaime Gonzalez. Police say the 81-year-old driver of the Colorado, identified as Victoriano Gonzalez, sustained a possible injury, and two occupants of the Dodge Ram, a 24-year-old male driver and a 5-year-old male passenger, also sustained possible injuries.
