What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured several people at Loop 500 in Center, TX on May 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:53 p.m. Investigators say a Ford F-250 operated by a 38-year-old Haslet man was headed northwest on Loop 500 when it veered from its lane and collided with a second Ford F-250 operated by a 35-year-old Center woman. It also struck a Toyota Tundra operated by 3-year-old Vicente Martinez before overturning. Ramirez and a 33-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries as did a 5-year-old girl. A 3-year-old boy was evaluated for possible injuries while 26-year-old passenger, Maria Garza, was more seriously injured. The Haslet man was not injured and arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
