What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the person killed in a crash at FM 400 in Lubbock, TX on February 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. A vehicle headed northbound on FM 400 is said to have veered from the road for unknown reasons before going into a ditch and crashing into a concrete culvert. A passenger in the vehicle, 66-year-old Virginia Hernandez, suffered fatal injuries. The driver and two other passengers were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
