Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a motorcyclist at US 69 in Tyler County, TX on November 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:55 p.m. Investigators say a piece of packing material flew off an 18-wheeler and wrapped itself around a motorcycle operated by 51-year-old Walter Wesley Tant Jr, forcing it into a lane ahead of a Chevrolet Camaro operated by a 16-year-old Colmesneil teen. The vehicles collided, and Tant was ejected from the bike, suffering serious injuries. The 18-wheeler involved reportedly died not stop and left the scene.
