What Happened

Police in the area are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at State Hwy 149 in Panola County, TX on December 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:12 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Cruze, Dodge Ram and Nissan Sentra were the vehicles involved in the crash. Authorities believe the Chevrolet veered onto the wrong side of the road, which led to a collision between the three vehicles. One occupant of the Nissan, identified as 70-year-0ld driver, Wanda Henley, suffered serious injuries. A second occupant, identified as 69-year-old Robert Henley, was less seriously injured. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 29-year-old Brittany Ashley, was also seriously injured. Officers allege suspicion that Ashley was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
