What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at State Hwy 43 in Cass County, TX on March 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 27-year-old Texarkana man was headed northbound behind a Dodge Ram operated by 89-year-old Weldon Wilson. Investigators say the Dodge slowed to turn left into a private driveway and the truck attempted to pass around the truck, causing both vehicles to collided. Wilson suffered serious injuries in the collision. The truck driver was not injured.
