Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at Winding Creek Trl in Comal County, TX on May 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:43 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 28-year-old Weston Rigal was reportedly evading a deputy when it struck multiple trees and a rock while traveling at a high rate of speed. Ot then truck a stop sign in a residential zone before over correcting and crashing into a group of trees. Rigal allegedly left the scene of foot, suffering injuries to the face after falling. Rigal was hospitalized for treatment and reports indicate charges for Driving While Intoxicated and Evading Arrest were recommended and/or issued.
