What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 22 in Hill County, TX on February 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:40 p.m. A vehicle operated by 61-year-old William Allison IV  was reportedly headed westbound at an alleged unsafe speed when it lost control at a curve in the road. It then reportedly veered from the road into a shoulder and, while attempting to correct back into the road, went into a skid. The vehicle then collided with an electric pole, causing fatal injuries to Allison. Officers expressed suspicion that alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
