What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-820 in Fort Worth, TX on July 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:54 p.m. A motorcycle operated by 43-year-old William Chapman was headed northbound on Loop 820 when it collided with the rear of Hyundai Tucson operated by a 41-year-old White Settlement man. The cause of the collision was not stated, however Chapman suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The other driver was not injured.
