Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-20 in Abilene, TX on May 9th, 2022. Police say the incident happened just after 4 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 43-year-old Freddie Brown Jr was headed westbound on I-20 when it veered from the road into a center median for unknown reasons. It then struck a GMC pickup operated by 65-year-old William Clarence Dixon Jr. Both Dixon and his passenger, 57-year-old Lori Dianne Courtney, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Brown was hospitalized in critical condition. Additional information was not immediately available.
