What Happened

Dallas Police have information on a crash that killed a driver at Westmoreland Rd in Dallas, TX on November 19th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:58 p.m. An Infiniti G35 operated by 22-year-old William Garza Gomez was heeded northbound on South Westmorelaned Rd at a speed that investigators say was unsafe prior to turning and veering from the road. The vehicle crashed into a wooden utility pole, casing Gomez serious injuries. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Investigators allege Gomez was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
