Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 287 near Amarillo, TX on April 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:25 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Spectra, allegedly headed in the wrong direction, collided with a tractor-trailer head-on. Following the collision, the Kia veered into a median before overturning. The bribed of the Kia, identified as 22-year-old William Gray, was killed in the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as 54-year-old Deandre Cooper, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information has not been made available.
