What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 521 and 1st Ave in Rosharon, TX on May 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:10 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 45-year-old Martin Amezcua was headed southbound in a right outside lane when it reportedly made a u-turn ahead of a Dodge Dakota operated by 60-year-old William Iverson Hill. The Silverado, which was towing a trailer, jackknifed after it was struck in the rear by the Dakota. Amezcua was not injured while Hill suffered serious injuries. Reports indicate a Turning When Unsafe charge was recommended and/or issued.
