Area authorities are investigating a collision that killed a man at US 79 in Rusk County, TX on August 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:55 p.m. A GMC truck headed eastbound on US-79 was towing a trailer when a front right tire suffered a tire blow out. The truck lost control as a result and veered from the road, killing the driver, 52-year-old William McAlister. Two child passengers, ages 5 and 10,w ere hospitalized with serious injuries.
