What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 439 in Killeen, TX on May 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:06 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra operated by 37-year-old William Thompson was headed northbound when it allegedly failed to yield right of way at a stop and go signal before being struck at an intersection by a GMC Sierra operated by 42-year-old Raul Guzman. The impact caused the Hyundai to veer into a curb and overturned and the Hyundai to overturn into a drainage ditch. The collision caused Thompson fatal injuries and Guzman and a passenger minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
