What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a woman at US 90 in Harris County, TX on September 21st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:38 p.m. A Chevrolet Blazer operated by 74-year-old Wilma Hearn was headed northbound on Bohemian Hall Rd as it approached a stop sign. Investigators say the vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer headed eastbound on US 90. Despite attempting to swerve to avoid a collision, the truck collided with the Blazer, causing serious injuries to Hearn. Her 72-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries. The 43-year-old truck driver, a Crosby, TX man, was also seriously injured.
