What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman at Augusta Dr and Burgoyne Rd in Houston, TX on May 9th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang operated by a 40-year-old Houston man was headed northbound on Augusta Dr when it collided with a pedestrian crossing westbound. Police allege the pedestrian, an unidentified 44-year-old Houston woman, failed to yield to the vehicle before she was struck and suffered serious injuries and hospitalized. The Mustang driver was not injured and reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
