Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at County Rd 2434 in Cherokee County, TX on May 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:32 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 operated by an unidentified 41-year-old man was headed southbound on County Rd 2434 at an alleged high rate of speed when it lost control at a curve and crashed into a tree. The driver was not injured and reports indicate Unsafe Speed and Open Container charges were recommended and/or issued. A passenger, age 28, was seriously injured and reports indicate an Open Container charge was also recommended and/or issued.
