Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman at I-40 and Hayden St in Amarillo, TX on May 5th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 12:04 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by a 20-year-old Amarillo man was headed eastbound on I-40 when it veered across a curb into a partition and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then struck a road sign, leaving the woman with serious injuries. Officers allege the woman may have been under the influence of alcohol.
