Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at Loop 287 and Brentwood Dr in Lufkin, TX on August 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:08 p.m. A Ford F-150 operated by a 38-year-old Lufkin woman was traveling eastbound on John Redditt Dr while a tractor-trailer was stopped at the stop sign. The tractor-trailer reportedly failed to yield and pulled away from the stop sign into a turn, being struck by the Ford in the process. The Lufkin woman suffered minor injuries and was cited for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. The truck driver was cited for Failure to Yield Row at Stop Sign and was not injured.
