What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at State Hwy 288 in Angleton, TX on December 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:26 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra was northbound before colliding with a metal guardrail for reasons that were not confirmed. Following the crash, police say the driver, a 25-year-old Houston woman who was not publicly identified, exited her vehicle as an Infiniti G35 approached. For reasons that were also not confirmed, the approaching Infiniti is said to have struck the Houston woman, leaving her seriously injured. Police say she was taken to an area hospital for treatment while the Infiniti operator was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
