What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a person at TX 2499 and Justin Rd in Highland Village, TX on August 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:25 p.m. A Kia Forte operated by a 22-year-old Highland Village man reportedly ran a red light at the intersection, colliding with a Ford F-150 making a turn. The driver of the Ford, a 17-year-old Argyle teen, was not injured. A 19-year-old passenger in Forte suffered serious injuries. The driver was not injured and was charged with DWI-Open Container.
