What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at US 59 and FM 1186 in Harrison County, TX on May 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:18 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by 31-year-old Christopher George Finley, was headed southbound on US 59 when it attempted a left turn onto FM 1186. Police say the vehicle failed to yield right of way and was struck by a Toyota Avalon operated by a 56-year-old Dickinson woman. She suffered serious injuries while Finley was not injured. Reports show a Failure to Yield Row to Approaching Traffic charge was recommended and/or issued.
