Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at US 82 and I-30 in Bowie County, TX on January 13th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:05 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Bronco was eastbound on US 82 at that time. The vehicle is said to have been approaching a tractor-trailer that pulled into its path before it attempted an evasive action in order to avoid a collision. Reports allege the brakes of the Ford became locked up as a result, causing the vehicle to go into a skid and strike a portion of the truck. Police say the 20-year-old operator of the Ford was seriously injured while the 61-year-old operator of the tractor-trailer was uninjured. Additional information was not available.
