What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman at US 84 in Brown County, TX on October 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:50 a.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer headed northbound on US 84 allegedly failed to yield right of way before turning left headed of a southbound Nissan Frontier. Police say the two vehicles collided, the tractor-trailer going into a skid and becoming jackknifed at FM 2126. The vehicle is said to have also struck a Dodge Ram and Dodge Caravan in the crash. The driver of the Nissan, a 50-year-old woman who was not publicly identified, suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to police. There were no other reported injuries and sources say charges are pending.
