What Happened

Authorities in Mesquite, TX, are investigating a head-on collision that occurred on March 29, 2025, at approximately 10:47 p.m. on FM 2757. A 2015 Infiniti Q50 was traveling northwest when it failed to maintain a single lane and collided head-on with a 2021 Subaru Outback traveling southeast. The 22-year-old male driver of the Infiniti was uninjured. The Subaru contained six occupants: a 64-year-old female passenger sustained fatal injuries, the 35-year-old male driver and 35-year-old female front-seat passenger sustained minor injuries, and three children ages 7, 10, and 13 sustained suspected serious injuries. Alcohol results for the Infiniti driver were not available at the time of the report. Lane departure was identified as a contributing factor. The investigation is incomplete.
