Officials are investigating a collision that killed a woman at US Hwy 71 in Bowie County, TX on December 4th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:26 p.m. According to investigioatrs, a pedestrian allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to a southbound Chrysler Town & Country van. The pedestrian, a 61-year-old woman who was not publicly identified, succumbed to injuries at the scene, while the van’s 34-year-old driver and a 27-year-old passenger were not injured. No charges were filed against the driver.
