What Happened

Authorities are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred around 1:15 p.m. on FM 2854 near Allen, close to Blackwood’s Gun Range. According to reports, Laura Vega Munz, 34, was traveling westbound  her vehicle allegedly collided with pedestrian in or near the roadway. The pedestrian, a 25-year-old woman who was not publicly identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Munz and her child passengers were allegedly unharmed. After an investigation, reports alleged it was determined that Munz was intoxicated at the time of the crash and arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated.
