Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at 9th Ave in Port Arthur, TX on July 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:28 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Journey was was southbound before turning eastbound onto 31st St. There, reports say the vehicle allegedly failed to yield before collided with a motorcycle headed northbound at 9th Ave. Sources say the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 32-year-old Xavier Lopez, was seriously injured. A 19-year-old passenger in the Dodge had minor injuries, police say, while the driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
