Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a girl at Beamer Rd in Houston, TX on June 18th, 2023. Police are saying happened around 11:22 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Avalanche operated by a 23-year-old Friendswood man was southbound on Beamer Rd. Headed eastbound on Sam Houston East Parkway frontage rd was a Dodge Ram operated by 23-year-old Yadira Merino. Reports say the Chevrolet failed to control its speed and ran a red light at the intersection, the two vehicles colliding as a result. Reports indicate Merino and a 17-year-old passenger were seriously injured. The other driver was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
