What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-20 in Callahan County, TX in January 28th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:10 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer, operated by  43-year-old Yan Broytman, was reportedly sipped in a westbound shoulder of I-20. Reports indicate the truck was disabled as Broytman was attempting to perform repairs. While doing so, police say a second tractor-trailer veered out of its lane before colliding with Broytman, who was fatally injured in the collision. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
