Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at Samuell Blvd in Mesquite, TX on January 15th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:21 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Taurus, operated by 41-year-old Yashean Jackson, was traveling westbound on Samuell Blvd. Reports allege the vehicle may have proceeded into the intersection with Big Town Blvd on a red light, entering into the path of an approaching Chevrolet Impala. Upon doing so, reports further allege the Taurus collided with the rear of the Impala in the intersection before the Taurus was struck by a tractor-trailer. The crash is said to have seriously injured a 52-year-old passenger and a 30-year-old passenger in the Taurus. Also seriously injured, according to reports, was Jackson. The other drivers were allegedly uninjured. The injured individuals were transported for treatment, source say. Additional information was not available.
