What Happened

Officials are investigating a crash that injured several people involved at Lamar Blvd in Austin, TX on October 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Police say Nissan Altima collided with the rear of a Toyota stopped at a red light. The impact is said to have pushed the stopped Toyota into a Ford Mustang in front of it, the impact seriously injuring everyone in both stopped vehicles. Polcie identified two of the injured as 34-year-old Toyota operator, Yasiel Suarez Castillo and 26-year-old Ford operator, Marissa Castro, The operator of the Nissan was not publicly identified and was allegedly uninjured.
