What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-10 in Houston, TX on May 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Hino truck operated by 25-year-old Yenifer Waleska Andino Aguilar was entering an on-ramp from Mercury onto I-10 when it reportedly changed lanes when unsafe. As it did so, a commercial truck operated by a 55-year-old Houston man reportedly failed to drive in a single lane, causing a collision. The Hino truck lost control and went right before hitting a guardrail and support sign, overturning in the process. Aguilar suffered fatal injuries. The other driver was not injured.
