What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at North McColl Rd in Edinburg, TX on September 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:34 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra operated by 40-year-old Yesenia Murillo Rivera was headed eastbound on West Trenton Rd.  A Dodge Ram operated by a 73-year-old Edinburg man was traveling northbound. Officers allege the Dodge failed to stop at a red light and collided with the Hyundai. The collision left Rivera with serious injuries. The Edinburg man was not injured, according to police.
