What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-35E in Hill County, TX on August 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:06 p.m. A motor home operated by 75-year-old Earnest Morgan reportedly failed to stop for stopped traffic that was at a standstill due to a previous crash. It first attempted veering into the shoulder before colliding with multiple stopped vehicles. 55-year-old Yitong Lin and 44-year-old Xiaomei Shen were both seriously injured. Morgan was not injured and was cited for Failure to Control Speed.
