What Happened

Austin Police have arrested a person in connection with a crash that killed someone at  Crystalbrook Dr and Loyola Ln in Austin, TX on September 27th, 2022. Officials say 54-year-old Yolanda Shelby was headed southbound on Crystalbrook Dr before turning eastbound onto Loyola Ln. As the vehicle turned, it was struck by a second vehicle that allegedly ran a red light. Following the collision, the suspect vehicle fled the scene, leaving Shelby behind with injuries she later died from. The suspect involved, identified as 20-year-old Jarai Brady, was later located and arrested on a charge of failure to stop and render aid. Additional information was not immediately available.
