What Happened

Texas Department of Public safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-10 and Bunker Hill Rd in Houston, TX on June 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:26 a.m. Investigators are saying a Toyota Camry operated by 26-year-old Jayla Smith was headed westbound on Bunker Hill Rd before it collided with a parked Fiat 500X that was parked with active hazard lights. The Fiat was reportedly disabled due to an issue related to a tire. The operator of the Fiat, identified as 74-year-old Young Hwang. Hwang suffered serious injuries in the crash. Smith was evaluated for possible injuries and reports indicate a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued.
