What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Lovers Ln in University Park, TX on July 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:53 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord operated by a 43-year-old Irving man was headed northbound on Preston Rd when it reportedly disregarded a red light and collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan operated by 62-year-old Yuping Zhou. Zhou suffered serious injuries in the crash. The other driver suffered minor injuries and reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
