What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 83 in Alamo, TX on August 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:28 a.m. A Ford Crown Victoria operated by 52-year-old Francisco Vega Resendiz was headed westbound when, according to investigators, the Ford collided with the rear of GMC Envoy operated by 29-year-old Yvette Salinas. The Envoy was stopped at the red light and police believe that driver inattention contributed to the crash. Salinas suffered serious injuries while Resendiz was not injured. Resindiz was charged with Intoxication Assault With a Vehicle.
