Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at State Hwy 11 in Grayson County, TX on October 30th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:59 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 51-year-old male was headed southbound on State Hwy 11 as a pedestrian was reportedly walking in the southbound lanes. Investigators say the pedestrian traveled into the path of the Silverado, which is said to have attempted to steer right to avoid the collision before impact. The pedestrian, identified as 37-year-old Zachary Dillion, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Responding officers say items were found on Dillion's person that indicated that Dillion may have been under the influence at the time of the collision.
